Morton Golf Foundation Junior Grant Winner Wins The 2025 Women’s State Fair Amateur Championship at Bartley Cavanaugh Golf Course

This year Gianna Singh, age 16, a High School senior, won the 2025 Women’s State Fair Amateur Championship.

The final round ended with excitement on Hole # 18 when Gianna hit her tee shot into the water & created a playoff for her and Sneha Sharan, a former Sac State Women’s Golf Team player.

On Hole #1 you could hear a pin drop when both ladies hit shots right down the middle, and both were on the green in 2. Sneha missed her putt & Gianna dropped hers to win the playoff hole.

Next year, it was announced that the Sacramento Golf Council could possibly move this tournament up a few weeks, so it does not conflict with any other tournaments.

We are all looking forward to watching Gianna defend her title next year before she heads to play on the Women’s golf team at Grand Canyon University in Arizona.

Congratulations & continue good luck to Gianna in her year ahead!

4th Annual Sacramento Valley Women’s Amateur Championship

Muggy skies and 100 degree temperatures couldn’t stop this electric 2-day women’s golf competition.

As this women’s tournament continues to grow each year, this year kicked off with a field of 61 players.

The final group was Kaylyn Noh, Sienna Lyford & Sneha Sharan.

Kaylyn Noh won the overall 1st Place with a 5-under at 139.

Kaylyn Noh was a Morton Golf Foundation College scholarship winner in 2021.  She graduated from Rocklin High School & went on to Cal Poly to play golf her Freshman year. She then transferred on to CAL Berkeley for her Sophomore & Junior year. This fall, Kaylyn will enter her Senior year at CAL Berkeley & will graduate in 2025 with a degree in Law Studies.
