Johnny Thut, age 16, sophomore at Western Sierra Collegiate Academy played in the Sacramento City Men’s Amateur Championship on June 6 -7, this past weekend at Haggin Oaks.

His excitement started on Saturday, June 6th when Johnny hit his drive on Hole #3, Par 3 to make his second Hole-in-one! He made his first Hole-in-one at Diamond Oaks Golf Course from the junior tees when he was 9 years old during a Little Linkers event.

Johnny luck continued as he finished 10th on Sunday which offered him entry into this year’s State Fair Amateur Golf Tournament held on Labor Day weekend.

Johnny has been a Morton Golf Foundation Junior Golf Development Grant Winner for the past 4 years.

We continue to see him grow both on and off the course.

He is one to watch!
