The 3rd Annual AJGA Sacramento Junior Championship once again brought elite junior golf to Sacramento, delivering unforgettable moments across both divisions at the historic Haggin Oaks Golf Complex.

Hosted April 2–5, 2026, on the Alister MacKenzie Golf Course, the championship welcomed 96 families from across the country. As a premier AJGA event presented by the Morton Golf Foundation, the tournament continues to reflect the Foundation’s commitment to providing meaningful playing opportunities for junior golfers while showcasing Sacramento as a destination for the game’s rising stars.
The week was filled with standout performances, dramatic finishes, and a strong sense of community that continues to define this event.
Boys Division: Woolworth Wins in a Thriller

The Boys Division delivered a dramatic finish that will be remembered for years to come.
Drew Woolworth of Lake Oswego, Oregon (Class of 2026) emerged victorious after a two-hole playoff against Theodore Snyder of Gig Harbor, Washington. Both players finished at 13-under-par 203 through 54 holes, each posting impressive final-round 66s to force extra holes.
Woolworth ultimately claimed the title, adding to an already strong junior résumé and continuing his consistent run of success.

A special recognition goes to local Northern California players Jacob Burnett of Roseville and Landon Abalateo of Fair Oaks, who both finished inside the top 10. Abalateo’s second-round 65 stood out as one of the lowest rounds of the tournament.
Younger competitors Zude Xu (Class of 2028) and Richard Ding (Class of 2029) also made a strong impression, highlighting the depth of talent continuing to emerge in junior golf.
Girls Division: Conser Shines from Start to Finish

The Girls Division saw a commanding performance from Madeleine Conser of Portland, Oregon (Class of 2027), who led the field from start to finish.
Conser posted rounds of 67-67-66 to finish at 16-under-par 200, securing a three-shot victory. Her consistency throughout the week set the tone and demonstrated exceptional control on a course that rewards precision.
Emma Wang of Palo Alto and Victoria Cui of Atherton tied for second at 13-under-par 203, each delivering strong performances across all three rounds.

Sacramento’s own Anita Lumpongpoung (Class of 2028) delivered a strong performance in front of a hometown crowd, finishing tied for 7th. Kelly Zhang (Class of 2030) also stood out, posting a final-round 66 to move into 6th place, an impressive result for one of the youngest players in the field.
The international representation across the leaderboard further reflected the reach and competitiveness of this AJGA event.
